Em testes com culturas de melanócitos humanos, BioBlanc comportou-se como um potente clareador no tratamento de manchas como melasmas que interferem na autoestima de mulheres. BioBlanc é efetivo mesmo em baixas concentrações. Os resultados mostram que BioBlanc consegue inibir a tirosinase de forma 10 vezes mais potente que o ácido kójico e em concentrações menores que o ácido kójico.
